DIRECTOR
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required to head an Early Intervention Centre for children under the Autism Spectrum. Minimum of 3 years experience assessing and designing programs using ABLLS and Verbal Behavior. Must have management experience, good organizational skills, strong leadership skills, be personable and be able to oversee the day to day running of an early intervention centre. Must be able to lead a team of therapists and work well within that team.

VERBAL BEHAVIOR THERAPISTS
We are accepting resumes for the posts of Verbal Behavior Therapist to work within an established team. The Verbal Behavior Therapist will be responsible for carrying out daily hands-on one-on-one treatment to children with Autism and will report to the Centre’s Director. Successful candidates must have previous experience working with children with Autism or disorders under the Autism Spectrum. We are excited to offer our 12-week Pre-School Program beginning in February 2010.
This is a program intended for children with special needs who require additional support learning the necessary skills to help them before entering into the elementary school system.
The program is offered for children ages 3-5.
Classes will be run by an Ontario Certified Teacher with additional experience teaching children with special needs.
Programming will focus on developing "learning to learn" skills (attending, focusing, appropriate school behaviours, routines etc.). The SK/Grade 1 curriculum will be the academic focus, on a modified plan using ABA principles.
Classes are 3 days a week for 2.5 hours each day. There will be 5 students in the class, with 2 instructors. There will also be field-trips for extra learning! Morning or Afternoon spots available.
Cost: $1080 for 12 weeks (3 times a week). Paid Monthly.

Our professionals have extensive experience working with both typical and children within the Autism Spectrum Disorder, privately and in the government funded agencies. Working alongside clinicians and a Senior Therapist we have greatly contributed to the setting up of an Intensive Behavioural Intervention program for a non-profit agency in the Malton -Mississauga area.
The professionals running and supervising this program are taking graduate studies in Curriculum and Instruction in Autism at University of Massachusetts Lowell, aside our Ontario IBI provincial training and Seneca Graduate Certificate in Autism. Our ongoing scientific-based training allows us to only offer the most up-to-date teaching techniques derived from Applied Behavior Analysis.
What we are offering
We have now partnered with Allegro School of Music and Art to develop this unique 5-day enriching half a day program that incorporates music into its curriculum and that is steered towards the child’s socialization and generalization of skills across all the different domains. Music has been proven to stimulate the development of the child’s brain, and in language, movement, and social communication, music holds many nutrients for the developing mind of children. The Musical March program has been designed specifically for children between 4 to 7 years of age within the spectrum. The children will enjoy and explore music from a different perspective as they will be exposed to an enriched environment that will entice them to discover.
Sessions
Two sessions will be offered at the music school that is conveniently located at 404 and Steeles. AM group will run from 9 am to 12pm; and the PM session will run from 12:30 to 3:30pm. Milestones Educational Consulting is offering a Summer Camp at Allegro Academy of Music and Arts.
The summer camp will serve children with autism from July 5th to August 20th. This is a daily 3.5 hr program in which parents will have the option to sign up their children for as many weeks as needed.
The program will continue focusing on individualized targets as we understand that each child is unique. The children's targets will be reviewed and revised accordingly.
Our curriculum will target skills across different domains, such understanding of language (receptive), language/sign production (expressive) , vocalization (sound production that is a prerequisite for language to emerge), self help, social interaction (through play, sitting in groups, turn taking, peer interaction, just to mention a few), fine and gross motor and academics.
This is an innovative program in which children will also explore music and participate in musical activities that will allow them to vocal imitate, follow teacher's instruction in a group setting, and focus their attention to directed activities. Children will be exposed to various musical instruments and taught how to properly manipulate them. During the last two weeks of the program the children will be prepared to transition into the upcoming school year.

We are looking for someone trained in ABA and/other therapeutic methods to work with and home school our 10 year old boy Val. He has been classified as having PDD and is currently in a multiple disabled classroom in NJ. My wife is a a Norwegian Diplomat attached to the Norwegian embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal. So the family is relocating to Nepal this summer for the next two years. Since there are no schools in Nepal to support Val's complex learning needs, we are looking into Homeschooling for him. If there is someone who is willing to travel to Nepal and live there to provide 1:1 therapy for 40 hours, it would be ideal. If not atleast some ideas on how to get remote support etc.. would be great.

The Woodallkids Outreach Program - Wheaton empowers parents by offering them a number of services that provide them with the tools they need to support, help, and instruct their child at home. Outreach Case Managers provide all families with in-depth assessments and hands-on parent training in the principles of ABA. Parents can access ongoing Behavioral Consultation Services each week to access consistent individual parent training and aid parents in creating and updating a custom treatment plan that meets their child’s specific needs. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) at the BWF’s main office regularly maintain supervision with consistent consultation via satellite communication. The common purpose for each of these one-hour, weekly, groups is to teach the age appropriate language and social skills necessary in order to initiate and sustain social relationships with their peers while providing a hands-on occasion for parents to learn how to best support their child toward greater independence in a social setting. In addition, Outreach Case Managers can be available for Play & Social Skills Consultation Services wherein parents are provided individual training to learn how to generate and update a custom social or play-skills program for their child at home.
Quality of service is of the utmost importance to the staff of the BWF. Our team of Case Managers has been and will continue working toward becoming certified by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board. As a non-profit foundation, we rely on donations, grants, and fundraising in order to provide quality services at an affordable rate. These standard billing rates are set by the board of directors as a way to assist families in accessing the necessary therapy for their child
