ABA Resources Bulletin Board: Therapists Needed: ABA Therapist
By Brooke Bullock on Sunday, May 23, 2010 - 8:43 pm: Edit Post

I graduated from Meredith College with a concentration in ABA Therapy. I have 5 1/2 years experience with ABA- Discrete Trial Therapy and 1 year ABA-Verbal Behavior Therapy experience. I have worked in a school setting and home-based therapy setting. While at the Meredith Autism Program I was responsible for 1:1 therapy, updating notebooks, creating data sheets, training tutors, evaluating students, shadowing clients transitioning from M.A.P to a school setting and preparing program agendas for weekly team meetings. For my present families responsibilities include 1:1 therapy, creating/updating materials and data sheets, organizing data for monthly workshops, maintaining program direction by introducing and mastering targets as well as identifying and eliminating undesirable behaviors. I am currently enrolled in classes to earn my BCaBA certification and will always be committed in continuing my education in autism prevention. I am dedicated and passionate about what I do and would make a great addition to your therapy team. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, I am interested in finding an ABA position in order to increase my experience and put into practice the knowledge I have in the field. I am currently a master student for the ABA program at Queens College. Aditionally, my background includes three years of working with three children with different diagnosis (autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities) using both ABA and VB techniques. While providing 1:1 home based therapy I managed to work on both academic and social interventions.I also shadowed a child diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in a typical kindergarten setting, which offered me the opportunity to develop academic, social, communication and play skills while gradually fading my prompting strategies. If you are interested, please send me an e-mail to mirela_velescu@yahoo.com. Resume and recommendation letters are available upon request.
